The purposes of PCA, Inc. shall be: (1) to educate its members and the general public about the history, origin, quality, genuineness and artistic merit of glass paperweights and related objects and (2) to promote research in the area of paperweight making and identification and historical, geographic and cultural origins of paperweights. The primary mechanism to support this educational activity is the publication of an annual collection of articles, photographs, and documentation about antique and contemporary paperweights and related objects. This publication, called the Annual Bulletin of the Paperweight Collectors Association, Inc., will be provided to the membership and made available to the general public in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization. The PCA, Inc. may also elect to assist museums and other interested persons in classifying, identifying and researching glass paperweights and related items; to sponsor educational events for its members and the public by arranging museum exhibits, meetings and lectures by other collectors, artists and/or recognized authorities in the field; and to make bequests to qualifying entities.
